A worked example

Press Try an example above to load three classes (Grade 4 to 6), six subjects and six teachers across eight periods a day. Open any cell and try giving a teacher a second class in the same period: the tool flags it before you save. Use that pattern as a starting point, then replace the names with your own.

Timetable questions, answered

How do I make a school timetable for free?
Add your classes, subjects, teachers and rooms, set the periods and breaks, then tap each cell to place a lesson. The tool warns you straight away if a teacher or room is booked twice. When you are done, print the class or teacher timetables and choose Save as PDF.
Do I need an account to use the timetable maker?
No. You can build and preview your whole timetable without signing up. We only ask for your email when you save or download a PDF, and your draft stays in your browser until then.
How does it stop teacher clashes?
Every time you place a lesson, the tool checks whether that teacher or room is already used by another class in the same period. Clashes are highlighted in red and listed above the timetable so you can fix them before printing.
Can I print a timetable for each teacher?
Yes. Use Teacher timetables to print one page per teacher showing the class they are in each period. Class timetables prints one page per class for the classroom wall.
What happens to my timetable next term?
A free DiraSchool account saves the timetable to your school so you can reuse it next term and share it with teachers. Without an account, your draft stays only in the browser you used.
